APC Wins 21 State Assembly Seats, PDP 3 in Edo


The APC in Edo state has clinched 21 State Assembly seat in there just concluded state assembly election,the PDP picked three seats in the Edo Central senatorial district of the state as well as the suspended senatorial seat.Results in the rescheduled Edo South senartorial election in Oriomnwon Local Government Area of Edo State, indicated that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Mr. Matthew Urhoghide defeated the Minority whip of the House of Representatives and APC candidate, Mr. Samson Osagie.

Results from the polling units indicated that though Osagie defeated Urhoghide in Oriomwon, the poor turn out of voters affected his chances in upturning about 27,000 votes which Urhoghide was leading with after the March 28, National Assembly elections in six local government areas in Edo South.
Speaking on the declared results, Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) in Edo State, Mr. Mike Igini, said elections have been concluded in the state, commending the people of the state for their support throughout the elections.he PDP picked three seats in the Edo Central senatorial district of the state as well as the suspended senatorial seat.
